Japanese tech conglomerate Like Corp. announced the launch of a new cryptocurrency exchange in Singapore. Bitbox will offer trade in up to 30 cryptocurrencies, including the most popular ones Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin. The exchange will only deal in token-to-token trading, charging 0.1% in trading fees and will be available internationally except in the US and Japan. As a treat for new clients, Bitbox will offer the first 2 million registered users of the exchange the equivalent of $10 to use for trading on the platform. Also, users who register in August will be charged no trading fees for their first month with the exchange. Bitbox is the latest in a veritable influx of cryptocurrency exchanges that are popping up all over the world with a few notable exceptions including the United States and Japan, where regulatory constraints make it more difficult for crypto exchanges to set up shop.
